I don't often find a book that completely pulls me in, but The Silicean Accord by G Micheal Flores did exactly that. From the very beginning I was hooked. The story is engaging, well-written, and filled with enough mystery and intrigue that I found it nearly impossible to put down.
The main character is one of the best parts of the book. I became so invested in his journey that I was thinking about the story even when I was not reading.
G Michael Flores has created a fascinating world with characters that feel real and a plot that keeps you wanting more.
I highly recommend The Silicean Accord.

I picked up this book from SoonABook.
I love a thriller, but this is one of those rare thrillers that continues to occupy your thoughts long after you've finished the last page...
Let me explain....
At its heart is Jack Ellis. He is an ordinary man forced into extraordinary circumstances. After years working undercover inside a criminal organization, he barely remembers who he really is. This itself adds a layer of mystery. I appreciated that the novel didn't turn him into an invincible action hero. Instead, it showed the emotional and psychological cost of doing the right thing.
Cassandra Lang was equally fascinating. She's not evil for the sake of being evil. Her motivations come from watching humanity repeatedly fail itself, making her arguments uncomfortable because they're not entirely wrong. That moral complexity elevated the entire story.
What really stood out, though, was the novel's exploration of algorithms, misinformation, and artificial intelligence. I felt this is something we would be seeing a lot in our world in the future.
The idea that technology can quietly shape entirely different realities for different people felt less like science fiction and more like a warning.
This is an intelligent, suspenseful novel that raises important questions without pretending to have simple answers.
